Designer’s supervision of construction
For every project developed by the institute, we provide designer’s supervision during its implementation under a separate contract. This covers new construction, reconstruction and major repairs of buildings, structures, linear facilities and engineering and transport infrastructure.
Even the best design meets reality on site: different soil in the excavation, substituted materials, proposals from the contractor. Designer’s supervision makes it possible to resolve such issues quickly and without loss of quality, because the decisions are made by the people who designed the facility.
If needed, our specialists will help prepare the as-built documentation so that the facility can be commissioned without unnecessary delays.
What the work includes
- Spot checks of the works for compliance with the design
- Participation in inspections of concealed works and critical structures
- Entries in the designer’s supervision log
- Prompt adjustment of design solutions when conditions on site change
- Advice to the contractor and the client’s technical supervision team
- Participation in site meetings
- Assistance with as-built documentation
How we work
Stage 1. Contract and schedule
We sign a separate contract, assign responsible specialists and agree on a schedule of site visits.
Stage 2. Site visits
We check the works at key stages and record our comments in the log.
Stage 3. Responding to changes
If site conditions differ from those assumed in the design, we propose a solution right away.
Stage 4. Completion of construction
We help with as-built documentation and preparations for commissioning the facility.

- General contractors
- Client-side technical supervision services
